#19 Dr. Jon Tsoi Artist – Revolutionary -Blindfold Art Medicine Movement
by Artister on Sunday, February 20th, 2011 | 25 Comments
Jon Tsoi, Artist and Oriental medical doctor, considers his fine art to be an extension of his healing arts. Dr. Tsoi’s mission is to empower his art with the complementary energy forces of Yin and Yang. Jon states, “traditionally, the artist creates art from the eyes to the mind. By wearing a blindfold, I am creating art from the mind to the spirit. After people see and absorb my art my wish is that they feel balanced physically, mentally and spiritually, and see themselves and the whole universe differently.” www.loseweightherbs.com

@ripsnorter419 Thanks! I am using Acrylic.
nice..not sure about any medical therapy… stress yes.. i just started painting to help my stress.. but i do like the blindfold way.. are you using oils?
That is a truly marvelous idea, Doc. Painting can become stressful and I think you’ve opened an array of ideas of something I can do whenever I need a release from that stress… Thank you so much.
@HIROZAWI Thanks!
Dr. Jon Tsoi, you got my thumbs up. I should try this amazing technique and whatt you said is pretty true. I am glad I was able to watch this video. Neat.
@artistdalehammond Thanks!
I agree Doc, it is a cool painting.
I’m an artist myself. I always try to talk people into doing art. If more people did art we’d have fewer problems in the world. All of us were meant to do art. Let you said, it’s physically and mentally good for us. Well done, Doc!
@POLKADOTSCRAFTS1 Thanks!
I think this is a great tool to teach people to cope with life’s uncertainties which as we all know are many. It is a great an concrete approach that will hopefully allow us to go with the flow when we do not have control of the situation and to welcome the unexpected.
@resaspieces Thanks!

Wow nice, I am a working and selling painter and yes, sometimes I get too focused on the mistakes that I make. Yesterday I just had something major happen to me that has caused a lot of stress, this will be a great way to shift my painting technique to help myself out of my worries! Thanks for showing this:)
